Adjustable  Pulleys

Variable pitch pulleys allow you to change the amount of belt rotation. By increasing the distance between the two discs, you can adjust the speed of rotation of the belt. Generally, the larger the gap, the slower the belt will move. You can use a caliper to measure the pitch circle diameter.

How to use adjustable pulleys

First, remove the locking pin on the pulley guide to adjust the resistance of the adjustable pulley. The first pin will be labeled “5”, which means the weight is 5 lbs, while the second pin will be labeled “10 lbs”. If you have difficulty removing the locking pin, you can lift the pulley with one hand. Then, place the pulley as needed for bicep curls or triceps pushdowns. Make sure to keep the pulley at a comfortable height and keep your spine neutral.

Once the cable reaches the desired height, remove the 2×4 block. If the cable is too loose, it can cause other problems. To avoid this, make sure to use cables with the proper tension. This will help you exercise effectively. If you have any questions, feel free to ask a technician or personal trainer.

The center-to-center distance between the two axes can be set to any position, making the device very versatile for a wide range of applications.

Application of adjustable pulleys
